Arranging a trip

How to Request a Ride

Ambulatory and wheelchair are the two service levels for a Bay Area ride. For stretcher transport, call Dispatch at (909) 892-8383 to confirm availability.

Ambulatory

Arranged by phone

For riders who can walk to the vehicle with steadying assistance. Walkers and canes travel with the rider.

Wheelchair

Arranged by phone

Lift- or ramp-equipped transport for riders who stay in their wheelchair.

What to have ready

  • Rider’s name and phone number
  • Pickup and drop-off addresses, including a suite, unit or entrance
  • Appointment date and time, and whether a return ride is needed
  • How the rider travels: walking with assistance, or staying in a wheelchair
  • Anyone riding along, and any equipment travelling with the rider
  • Health plan and authorization details, if the trip goes through a plan

Dispatch checks the route

Availability depends on the two addresses, the day already scheduled, and the vehicle the rider needs.

Dispatch confirms the trip

A request is not a confirmed booking. Dispatch confirms the service level and the pickup window before the ride is scheduled.
